Warranty Direct Company History
Warranty Direct started in 1980 with a pretty big vision; they wanted to become the most reliable extended car warranty company in North America. Everything they do, from the plans they offer to the customer service representatives they employ has been with that goal in mind. They never stop asking themselves “How can we do it better?” And they don’t just mean against their competitors. They mean how they can improve their services, their plans and their own performance. With dedication and determination like this, it’s no wonder that they have a 99.4% customer satisfaction rating.
When Warranty Direct started, extended warranties were only sold in dealerships when people purchased new cars. Things have changed tremendously over the last few decades and Warranty Direct is still going strong and getting stronger every year. They have made purchasing extended car warranties online something that is as close to hassle free as it can get and something that their customers appreciate.
They develop relationships with their extended warranty customers and make sure that no matter what the need is, they are there to help in whatever way the customer needs. It can be just a simple question about payment, switching to different coverage, or adding another vehicle to the mix. Whatever it is, customers can rest assured that Warranty Direct will help them through it all.
One of the key factors in their great success comes from the mentality they have of putting themselves in their customers’ shoes and asking themselves what THEY would want on an extended car warranty protection plan. It’s this attitude that has earned them awards for impeccable customer service and earned them a spot in Forbes magazine Top 200 companies not once but THREE times.
It also led them to ensure that their industry leading coverage plans includes features like financial stability to get customers’ claims paid without problems, having a A+/Excellent rated Insurer, nationwide licensing and registrations, 100% in-house claims processing and unbeatable customer satisfaction. They are members of both the BBB and WebAssured and have excellent standings with both.
All in all, they are hard to beat and they will do whatever they can to ensure it stays that way. Their objective is not to simply “beat the competition”. It’s to make their customers so happy that they can’t imagine going anywhere else when they need extended car warranties.
So why should you choose Warranty Direct? There are many reasons that make this a company to go with when you are looking for extended car warranties. Two million satisfied customers say a lot about the service this company provides. Two million people can’t be wrong! They have courteous and polite service representatives to help you regardless of whether you are a first time buyer or a long time customer. Their goal is to listen and quickly solve your problems to your satisfaction. You’ll not be given the run around here. When there is something that needs handling, you will only have to deal with ONE company rather than several. They manage their own service contracts so they can ensure that things are being handled from their end as they should be. You can even deal with the same person every time you call if you choose to! They offer standard additional benefits that come with all plans including free roadside assistance, car rental reimbursement, trip interruption protection and an unlimited number of claims. You can be confident that when you get an extended car warranty with Warranty Direct, you will be their priority and you WILL be satisfied.
The Qualification Process
You can start the process by getting a quote from their website, www.warrantydirect.com. They have a form that will ask you for a bit of information to get your quote started. The information they will require is:
- Zip code
- Vehicle Year, Make and Model
- Mileage
- First and Last name
- Address
- Phone Number
On the website any quote information you get can be stored there so you can refer to it later. Speaking to an agent is the best way to get an accurate quote. Extended car warranties will be different depending on the kind of vehicle you have, how often you drive it, the kind of coverage you want, the age and mileage of the vehicle and so on. It’s impossible to get an accurate quote with just a few pieces of information so be sure to talk to one of the friendly agents to get the best, personalized quote you can get so you have ALL the information you need to make an informed decision.
If you decide to purchase you’re quoted extended car warranty, be sure that you understand everything there is to know about it. Don’t hesitate to ask questions about anything you don’t understand or are unsure about. This is part of the agent’s job and you need to know exactly what your plan entails so you get the most out of it.
Warranty Direct will send you your contract with all of the specifics spelled out in writing. Once this has been read over carefully, and any questions you have are answered, you will be required to sign it and send it back along with whatever payment option you have chosen. Because they know that finances can be tough sometimes, they offer several payment plans that you can choose from, including taking as long as 18 months to pay.

Using Warranty Direct’s Claims Service
You won’t believe how easy filing a claim with Warranty Direct is. That’s what they strive to do and the process shows that they have been successful. You can file a claim in just three easy steps.
- Take your car to whatever licensed repair facility you like. If you don’t have one or if your car cannot be driven, call roadside assistance and they will tow the vehicle to the nearest facility. If the mileage is beyond a certain amount there may be additional charges that you will be responsible for.
- Once at the repair facility, tell the service technician/manager that you have a Warranty Direct extended car warranty contract and give them your membership information. If you bring the contract with you, you can give that to them to see as well.
- After you give the service technician your information, your part is done and Warranty Direct takes over. The repair shop will contact them and explain what needs to be done to repair your vehicle. If your repairs are covered under your plan, you will pay the deductible you chose when you signed up and that’s it. Warranty Direct will pay the rest and you’ll be back on the road again in no time. You don’t have to worry about mailing in forms or other out of pocket expenses beyond what is your responsibility (extended distance towing charges if any, and your deductible)
The whole process is designed to be simple and stress free for Warranty Direct customers and it is.
